About me

I’m autistic and over 50. Afrikaans  is my first language. I also speak some German and Xhosa.

I live with my mother in a suburb of Cape Town, and I’ve been working with Marius Cloete for 20 years.

 Work

I’m the Director of Programme Design at ProjectManagement.co.za and I provide various in-house services to Marius Cloete Moulds.

I develop learning programmes and teach Project Management and project scheduling. If you’d like me to do work for you, click this button.

Advocacy

I’m the Collaboration Director of the Autistic Strategies Network. My personal focus areas for autistic advocacy are paradigm, health, subsistence requirements and the communication rights of non-speaking autistic people. I also create awareness of the UN Convention on the Rights of People With Disabilities, and I’m a Board Member of the Western Cape Network on Disability.

I present workshops and seminars, and I am available for radio or television interviews.

Other than travel and accommodation for out-of-town conferences, I do not accept payment for these activitiesFor events where other speakers are paid, I provide the banking details of destitute or sick autistic people who need the money for survival.

ART

I create things for aesthetic enjoyment. These include drawings, paintings and silly sound files.

The last painting I sold bought several months of vastly improved health for a friend who has a chronic illness, so I intend to produce and sell more.

Gradually I’ll probably migrate my art-related content to alphabetania.com and some of my other domains dedicated to these pursuits.
