A large organisation established by the non-autistic grandparents of an autistic boy. The aim of the organisation was to ensure that autistic people do not exist in the future. Since the departure of these founders, the organisation has softened its public statements, but still funds research aimed at preventing autism.
Many autistic people oppose the organisation. Fewer than one-tenth of their board members are autistic. There are no non-speaking people in decision-making roles.
